I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious. –Albert Einstein

This too much is true, trying to nail down what I am passionate about would be exhausting. I am inspired by what I find when coming across a new treasure. I guess the root would stem from going thrifting and garage-saling. I don’t know what I’m looking for until I come across it. Then, when I find that buried treasure, I imagine all the ways it can be transformed into wonderful. Sometimes my ideas are my own, other times I draw inspiration from Pinterest (which leads me to crafty blogs), design books and magazines like Flea Market Finds and HGTV magazine.

I love to DIY and try my hand at re-finishing all different types of furniture. Each time is challenging and fun depending on the piece and what I will be using it for.

Some other fun quotes:

Logic will get you from A to B imagination will take you everywhere.

Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.

The secret of creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.

True art is characterized by an irresistible urge in the creative artist.

  1. Laura your painting of checks is beautiful. I wondered if you would share a web site for how to paint a checker board pattern. I would love to try it. Val
